MENDOCINO’S “RULING ELITE” ESTABLISHMENT IS THREATENED AS MARIJUANA GAINS A POLITICAL FORCE

“They claim to be responding to neighborhood complaints about noises, smells and a generalized sensation of losing control of the community. Their real agenda is to eviscerate marijuana as an economic engine and as a political force before it threatens the existing establishment.”

As more and more minimum paid employees turn to the High Paying jobs of the Marijuana Trade, the Ruling Elite of Mendocino County remain shaken by what they perceive as the loss of their control of the “worker class” as the Medical Marijuana Political force takes ahold of the once Timber dominated politics. Mendocino will never be the same again as a multi-billion dollar cottage industry has dominated local politicians and even courts and sheriffs.

Lawsuits will follow as a small minority of YES ON B supporters try to undermine 15 years work of decriminalization in Mendocino County. Going as far as to write a bill which violates the California State Constitution.  Both lawsuits contend Measure B is unconstitutional because it violates the “single subject rule.” that rule “is implicit in the state constitution. The state constitution forbids ballot initiatives from having more than one subject in order to prevent ‘log rolling,’ or the inclusion of high-profile subjects in an initiative merely to attract votes.“The logic is that voters deserve the opportunity to consider matters separately, and some may want to reject one while accepting the other. Proposition B does exactly the opposite undoing 15 years of decriminalization efforts in which tens of thousands of otherwise law abiding Mendocino County citizens were subject to fear and intimidation at the hands of Law Enforcement simply for growing marijuana.
